Prambee Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 4 July 2026
Welcome to Prambee. We rent premium baby equipment to families — new or professionally cleaned pre-loved — as a flexible, more sustainable alternative to buying.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) cover your rental and any optional buyout of equipment. By placing an order you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our service.
All products should be checked by a responsible adult before use and used in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Who you are renting from
Your contract is with AMFAT Ltd (company number NI732870), trading as Prambee, Office 33, 92 Castle Street, Belfast, BT1 1HE, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”). Order fulfilment and VAT handling are carried out on our behalf by Amfat Limited (Ireland). Your rental contract is with AMFAT Ltd. Contact: info@prambee.ie
1. A few definitions
– Billing Date — the day each month your rental fee is due, set by the day your item is delivered.
– Rental Fee — your monthly payment, shown at checkout.
– Rental Plan — your agreement to rent: short-term, fixed-term (1–6 months) or rolling.
– Buyout — an optional, separate purchase of an item you’re renting, priced case by case.
2. Ordering
2.1 These Terms apply to all rentals and buyouts made through www.prambee.ie.
2.2 You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.
2.3 Placing an order is an offer to rent; a contract forms when we confirm it by email. Before confirming or fulfilling an order we may ask for proof of identity, address or payment verification.
2.4 We can decline or cancel an order at our discretion — for example if information can’t be verified, checks aren’t passed, we reasonably suspect misuse or a risk of non-return, or stock isn’t available.
2.5 Buyouts are separate one-off purchases, priced case by case, with no link to your Rental Plan and no formula, instalment, loan or hire-purchase arrangement. Renting gives no right or obligation to buy; nothing is agreed until we confirm it in writing.
3. Your Rental Plan
3.1 Choose a short-term, fixed-term (1–6 months) or rolling plan at checkout. Minimum periods vary by product.
3.2 We own the equipment at all times. You may not sell it, use it as security, lend it, sublet it or part with possession, and you may not repair, service, modify or replace any part unless we’ve agreed in writing. Please use it only for personal purposes and in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
4. Pricing & payment
4.1 Rental fees, delivery costs and VAT are shown at checkout. You pay delivery; returns are free once your agreed rental period is complete.
4.2 Your first fee is due at checkout; monthly fees are then taken from your saved payment method on each Billing Date.
4.3 We offer various payment methods and may limit some at our discretion.
4.4 If a payment is late or fails, we may charge a reasonable amount reflecting our actual loss and, where appropriate, hold a deposit or charge up to the item’s replacement value pending its return — refunded, less any permitted deductions, once it’s back with us in good condition.
4.5 We may take a deposit or card pre-authorisation before fulfilment, held until the item is returned and checked, and refunded less any permitted deductions.
5. Delivery & checking your equipment
5.1 Delivery starts your Rental Plan. We aim to deliver on your chosen date; occasional delays happen, especially outside our control (courier issues, weather, supply problems). Where a delay is within our control we’ll act reasonably to put it right.
5.2 Please inspect your equipment as soon as it arrives. If anything is missing, incorrect or damaged, tell us at info@prambee.ie within 24 hours of delivery, with a photo where you can, so we have an accurate record of its condition when it reached you. If we don’t hear from you within that time, we’ll take it that the item arrived complete and in good condition — this helps us tell apart any damage present before delivery from damage that happens during your rental. Reporting a safety concern is different: please tell us straight away, at any time during your rental, and don’t use the item until we’ve advised you.
5.3 We reuse packaging where we can; it will always be clean, secure and fit for purpose.
5.4 Each item comes with, or has access to, the manufacturer’s instructions — please read and follow them, especially where assembly is needed (for example cots or travel systems). If anything is missing or unclear, contact us before use. Please also tell us if you notice any issue with the item’s safety or condition at any point during your rental.
6. Equipment & care
6.1 Items may be new or gently used. On return we expect normal wear only — light dust or surface marks are fine; embedded spills, heavy staining or avoidable damage are not.
6.2 Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions and avoid damage beyond normal wear.
6.3 Colours may vary slightly from website images.
7. Repairs & maintenance
7.1 For normal wear, we’ll repair or replace at no cost to you — just let us know (photos help).
7.2 For damage from misuse, repair or replacement costs may apply; we’ll always try to be fair.
8. Loss & Theft Waiver
8.1 At checkout you can add our optional Loss & Theft Waiver. If you take it, you won’t be charged for loss or theft of the equipment during your rental, subject to the conditions below. The Waiver simply limits what you’d otherwise owe us — it isn’t an insurance policy.
8.2 It applies only if you give reasonable evidence of the loss or theft (for example a police report or reference), it happened despite you taking reasonable care, and you tell us within 48 hours.
8.3 It doesn’t cover damage; loss from neglect, carelessness or leaving the item unattended somewhere high-risk; or rental fees up to the date you report the loss.
8.4 Without the Waiver, you’re responsible for the equipment during your rental, and charges up to full replacement value may apply if it’s lost or stolen.
9. Ending your plan & returning your item
9.1 How your plan ends. Short-term plans end automatically at the end of their minimum period. Fixed-term plans continue on a rolling monthly basis once the term ends, unless you tell us to stop. Rolling plans continue until you return the item. To end a fixed-term or rolling plan, please let us know at least 5 days before your next Billing Date.
9.2 Book your return the way we tell you (by email or any returns link we provide) before your next Billing Date.
9.3 Pack the item securely — reuse the original box and any internal padding, inserts or straps where you can, which matters especially for delicate items like the SNOO — and remove or cover any old labels. If poor packaging causes damage or invalidates the courier’s cover, you may be liable for the cost. No washing needed — just include all the parts.
9.4 Keep your proof of postage or collection receipt, and take a clear photo of the parcel with the return label attached at handover. We need this to claim on the courier’s cover if anything goes missing — without it, a lost return may be treated as not returned and replacement charges may apply.
9.5 You’re responsible for the item until we receive and check it in; we’ll confirm once that’s done. Where an order arrived in more than one box, return each as a separate, labelled parcel with its own proof.
9.6 Late returns. Please get the item back to us by the end of your rental period; we allow a 5-day transit grace after you book your return. If it’s later than that, for short-term plans a daily late fee at the product’s rate applies until it reaches us, and for fixed-term and rolling plans the next month’s fee applies (refunded if the item reaches us within 5 days of the Billing Date). If an item isn’t returned at all, fees continue until it’s returned or treated as lost (charged at replacement value), and we may take reasonable steps to recover it or its value.
10. Cancelling & ending early
10.1 Before dispatch. You can cancel a confirmed booking before your item is dispatched by emailing info@prambee.ie. Because we reserve your item and take it out of availability the moment your booking is confirmed - turning away other families for those dates - we may deduct a reasonable amount reflecting costs we have actually incurred and genuine lost rental opportunity caused by the cancellation, up to the following maximums;
- more than 14 days before dispatch: your first month’s rental is refunded less 25%;
- 7–14 days before dispatch: 50% of your first month’s rental is refunded;
- less than 7 days before dispatch: the first month’s rental is non-refundable.
These deduction reflect our actual loss (reserving high-demand equipment, payment and verification costs, and the lost booking), not a penalty, and we keep full discretion to reduce or waive them - as a family business we genuinely try to in exceptional circumstances, so please just talk to us.
10.2 Starting your rental. When you place your order and choose a delivery date, you’re asking us to start your rental on that date. Once a rental has run its course it’s complete, and there’s nothing to refund.
10.3 Minimum rental period. Every plan has a minimum rental period, shown at checkout (for example, one month). This is a commitment, not a target: if you return an item before the minimum period is up, the full minimum period remains payable. The only exception is where you exercise the statutory cancellation right in clause 10.6.
10.4 Ending a fixed term early. For a fixed term longer than the minimum period, if you return after the minimum but before the end, a charge may apply equal to the difference between your discounted monthly rate and our standard rate for the period you actually used, multiplied by the number of months rented.
10.5 Admin fee. Where you cancel after dispatch, or return an item early — other than by exercising the statutory right in clause 10.6 — a €20 administrative fee applies, covering the cost of processing, cleaning and re-listing the item.
10.6 Your statutory cancellation right. You have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of delivery; to use it, email info@prambee.ie. If you do, return the item unused and in its original condition within the time the law allows; you cover return postage; and we refund what you are owed within 14 days of getting the item back (or your proof of return). Where you asked us to start your rental during this period, we may keep a proportionate amount for the time you had the item and, where it was used beyond a quick check, an amount reflecting any drop in its value.
11. Loss, theft or damage
11.1 You’re responsible for loss, theft or damage beyond normal wear. Light dust or superficial marks are fine; heavy soiling, structural damage or missing parts are not.
11.2 For theft or vandalism, please report it to the police and tell us. Without the Loss & Theft Waiver, a charge up to the item’s value may apply.
11.3 Charges for repair or replacement are based on our actual cost.
12. Our responsibility
12.1 We inspect, clean and safety-check every item before it goes back into use; anything that doesn’t meet our standard is removed for good.
12.2 Please inspect your equipment on delivery and before each use, and check now and then that parts are secure and serviceable, in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.
12.3 Our products are made by third-party manufacturers to the safety standards required for their certification and sale. Responsibility for the design, manufacture and inherent safety of a product rests with its manufacturer. We are not the manufacturer and don’t design, build or modify the equipment — we make it available for hire and inspect it before it goes out.
12.4 To the maximum extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for damage, injury or loss caused by misuse, neglect or not following the manufacturer’s instructions. We don’t take on any liability we wouldn’t otherwise have in law simply because of these Terms.
12.5 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be excluded by law.
13. Complaints & governing law
13.1 If something’s wrong, email info@prambee.ie and we’ll do our best to put it right. We’re not obliged to use, and don’t currently take part in, an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme.
13.2 These Terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland. Nothing in them affects any mandatory statutory rights you have as a consumer that can’t be excluded by law.
14. If we need to end your plan
14.1 We may end your Rental Plan if you break these Terms (for example non-payment, misuse, or giving false or incomplete information) or if we reasonably consider the rental creates undue risk.
14.2 On ending, please return the equipment promptly and settle anything outstanding.
15. Things outside our control
We’re not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control (courier delays, strikes, natural events, government restrictions and the like). We’ll act reasonably to limit any disruption.
16. Sustainability
Renting keeps quality equipment in use and out of landfill, and we reuse packaging where we can.
17. Changes to these Terms
17.1 We may update these Terms. For new orders, the version at checkout applies. For an ongoing rental, we’ll give you reasonable notice of any material change, and you can end your plan without penalty if you don’t accept it.
18. General
18.1 If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
18.2 These Terms are the whole agreement between us about your rental and replace any earlier discussions.
