1. Quick Definitions
- Billing Date: When your monthly rental fee is due, starting from delivery.
- Rental Fee: Monthly payment for renting equipment, shown at checkout.
- Rental Plan: Your agreement to rent, either short-term, fixed-term (1–6 months), or rolling.
- Buyout: Optional, separate purchase of rented equipment, priced case-by-case.
2. What We’re About
2.1 These T&Cs apply to all rentals and buyouts via www.prambee.ie.
2.2 Renting: Submitting an order is a binding offer to rent. We confirm acceptance by email. We reserve the right to request further information (such as proof of identity, address, payment verification, or other documents we consider necessary) before confirming or fulfilling any rental order.
It is important to us to keep costs low and sustainability high for our customers. This means ensuring that equipment is respected, used appropriately, and returned on time and in good condition. Our verification and refusal rights help us protect the system for everyone.
Refusal Rights: We may decline or cancel an order at our discretion, including but not limited to situations where:
- we are not satisfied with the information provided;
- the customer does not pass verification checks;
- we reasonably believe the rental would involve misuse, risk of non-return, or breach of trust; or
- stock is unavailable.
2.3 Buyouts: If you love your rental, you may request to buy it. Any buyout is a separate, one-off agreement with no link to your rental plan. Pricing is set case-by-case and does not follow a formula, instalment plan, loan, or hire purchase arrangement. No right to buy is created by entering into a rental, and no obligation exists until confirmed in writing by Prambee.
3. Your Rental Plan
3.1 Pick a short-term (product-specific minimum, set for economic and sustainable transactions), fixed-term (1–6 months), or rolling Rental Plan at checkout. Minimum periods vary by product to keep things viable for you and us.
3.2 We own the equipment. No selling, modifying, or using it as security. Use it for personal purposes, per manufacturer guidelines.
4. Pricing & Payment
4.1 Rental fees, delivery costs, and VAT are shown at checkout. Delivery charges are paid by you; returns are free when the agreed rental period is completed. Early returns may incur a return fee (est. €20). Contact info@prambee.ie if you have an issue.
4.2 First rental fee’s due at checkout. Monthly fees hit your saved payment method on the Billing Date.
4.3 We offer various payment methods but may limit some at our discretion.
4.4 Late or non-payment? We may charge a holding deposit or up to the equipment’s replacement value, refunded if returned in good shape.
4.5 At our discretion, we may require a deposit or pre-authorization on your payment method before fulfilment. Deposits may be held until equipment is returned and inspected, and are refunded less any permitted deductions.
5. Delivery & Checking Your Gear
5.1 Delivery starts your Rental Plan. We aim to deliver on your preferred date. Sometimes delays occur, especially where events are outside our control (for example, courier disruption, strikes, weather, or supply chain issues). Where delays are within our control, we will act reasonably to put things right.
5.2 Check your equipment on arrival and before each use. Report issues to info@prambee.ie within 48 hours of delivery and before use. Using it means you accept its condition.
5.3 We reuse packaging to stay green. It’ll be of a high standard and secure.
5.4 Manuals, Assembly & Safety Checks: Each product is supplied with, or has access to, the manufacturer’s instructions. Please take a moment to read and follow these carefully, especially where assembly is required (for example, cots or travel systems). If anything seems missing, unclear, or not quite right, let us know straight away and do not use the equipment until we advise you.
You are also obliged to inform Prambee if you notice any potential issue with the equipment’s safety or condition during your rental. We’re always happy to arrange an inspection, replacement, or solution quickly so you don’t have to worry.
For avoidance of any doubt; All products should be checked by a responsible adult before use and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
6. Equipment & Care
6.1 Equipment may be new or gently used. On return, we expect normal wear only. Examples:
- Acceptable: light dust or surface dirt on a child seat.
- Unacceptable: embedded ice cream spills, heavy staining, or damage that could have been avoided.
6.2 Treat the gear kindly! Follow manufacturer instructions and avoid damage beyond normal wear.
6.3 Colours may vary slightly from website images due to screens or stock.
7. Repairs & Maintenance
7.1 Normal wear? We’ll fix or replace equipment at no cost if you notify us with proof (e.g., photos).
7.2 Damage from misuse? You may face repair or replacement costs. We’ll work with you to keep it fair.
8. Loss & Theft Waiver
8.1 At checkout you may choose to add our optional Loss & Theft Waiver. By paying the fee, Prambee agrees to waive charges for loss or theft of equipment during your rental, subject to the conditions below.
8.2 The waiver only applies if:
- You provide reasonable evidence of the loss or theft (e.g. police report or incident reference).
- The loss or theft occurred despite you taking reasonable precautions (for example, storing the item securely when not in use).
- You notify us within 48 hours of the loss or theft.
8.3 The waiver does not apply to:
- Damage (accidental or otherwise) — normal repair or replacement charges may apply.
- Loss arising from neglect, carelessness, or leaving the item unattended in a high-risk location.
- Normal rental fees up to the date the loss or theft is reported.
8.4 Without the waiver, you remain fully responsible for the equipment during your rental. If it is lost or stolen, charges may apply up to the full replacement value.
9. Rental Period & Ending Your Plan
9.1 Short-term Plans: Product-specific minimum period, ending automatically. Return equipment so it arrives back with us within 3 days of the end of the rental period to avoid extra fees.
9.2 Fixed-term Plans: Run 1–6 months, then shift to rolling unless terminated. Notify us at info@prambee.ie 5 days before the Billing Date to end. Equipment must arrive back within 3 days of the period’s end.
9.3 Rolling Plans: Continue until you return the gear. Notify us 5 days before the Billing Date; equipment must arrive back within 3 days of the Billing Date to avoid the next fee (refunded if returned in time).
9.4 Late Returns:
- Short-term: Daily fees apply until returned, based on product-specific rates.
- Fixed-term/Rolling: If not returned within 3 days of the Billing Date, the next monthly fee applies (refunded if returned within 5 days).
9.5 Return Process:
- Ship or deliver to our designated location by the last day of the rental period (or within 3 days after). You’re responsible until we receive it.
- Gear must be in good condition (normal wear, e.g., light dust, is fine; heavy soiling isn’t). Include all parts. No washing needed.
- We’ll confirm receipt once it’s at our warehouse. Keep proof of return!
9.6 Free Returns: For completed contracts.
9.7 Non-Return: If gear isn’t returned, fees accrue until returned or deemed lost (charged at replacement value). We may pursue recovery, including legal action.
10. Cancellation Rights
10.1 Cancellation Before Dispatch
You may cancel your confirmed rental booking at any time before the equipment has been dispatched or the rental start date has commenced by emailing info@prambee.ie
As rental products are reserved and removed from available inventory upon confirmation of booking, the following cancellation charges apply:
-
More than 14 days before dispatch/start date:
Refund of the first month’s rental fee less 25%. -
7–14 days before dispatch/start date:
50% of the first month’s rental fee is refundable. -
Less than 7 days before dispatch/start date:
The first month’s rental fee is non-refundable.
We reserve the right to adjust the above in individual circumstances. These charges reflect a reasonable estimate of administrative costs and the commercial impact of reserving high-demand equipment. They are not intended as a profit lever. This structure allows us to protect availability and maintain competitive pricing for all customers.
If you experience exceptional circumstances, please contact us as soon as possible. As a family-focused business, we will always aim to consider reasonable solutions where we can.
10.2 Statutory Cooling-Off Period (After Delivery)
If your rental contract is a distance contract under UK and EU consumer law, you have the right to cancel within the statutory cooling-off period (currently 14 days) starting from the day you receive the equipment.
To exercise this right, you must email info@prambee.ie with a clear statement of cancellation within that period.
10.3 Effect of Cooling-Off Cancellation
If you cancel within the statutory cooling-off period:
-
You must return the equipment unused and in its original condition within the legal timeframe.
-
You are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise required by law.
-
We will refund any payments due within 14 days of receiving the equipment or proof of return.
However, where rental services have commenced at your request during the cooling-off period, you remain liable for the minimum rental charge set out below.
10.4 Minimum Rental Charge
All rentals are subject to a non-refundable minimum charge equal to:
-
The agreed rental period if a short-term plan of less than one month was purchased or agreed in advance (for example, 7 days); or
-
One month’s rental fee for all other rental plans.
This minimum charge applies once the rental period has commenced (including where dispatch has occurred).
10.5 Condition and Diminished Value
You are entitled to inspect the equipment in a manner similar to how you would in a retail setting.
If equipment is returned showing use beyond what is necessary to assess its nature, characteristics, and function (for example, using a pram for outings or a cot for sleep), we may deduct from your refund or claim an amount reflecting diminished value, up to the full monthly rental fee or replacement cost where appropriate.
10.6 Exclusions
The statutory cooling-off right does not apply to equipment that has been personalised or clearly used beyond inspection in accordance with consumer law.
11. Loss, Theft, or Damage
11.1 You’re responsible for loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear.
- Acceptable wear: light dust or superficial marks.
- Not acceptable: heavy soiling (e.g., embedded ice cream spills), structural damage, or missing parts.
11.2 Theft or vandalism? File a police report and tell us. Without the Loss & Theft Waiver, you may pay a replacement fee or the equipment’s value.
11.3 Repair or replacement charges may apply for damage outside normal wear.
12. Our Liability
12.1 Our Standards: All equipment is carefully inspected, sanitised, and safety-checked before being placed back into circulation. Any item not meeting our standards is permanently removed from our ecosystem.
12.2 Your Responsibilities: You are responsible for inspecting equipment upon delivery and before each use, and for checking periodically during the rental period that all parts are tight, secure, and serviceable, in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.
12.3 Manufacturer Responsibility: Where an issue arises due to the design, manufacture, or original safety of the product, the responsibility lies with the manufacturer, who has met the standards required for the product’s certification and sale. In such cases, you may be better served raising a grievance directly with the manufacturer.
12.4 Our Limits: To the maximum extent permitted by law, AMFAT UK (trading as Prambee) is not liable for:
- minor negligence or indirect/consequential losses;
- damage, injury, or loss arising from misuse, neglect, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions;
- issues caused by manufacturing defects outside of our control.
12.5 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
13. Disputes & Governing Law
13.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.
13.2 As required by consumer law, you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (http://ec.europa.eu/odr). However, disputes will ultimately be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
14. Ending Your Plan Early (Our Call)
14.1 We may terminate your Rental Plan at any time if you breach these T&Cs (including but not limited to non-payment, misuse, or providing false or incomplete information), or if we reasonably consider the continuation of the rental relationship creates undue risk or loss of trust.
14.2 Upon termination, you must return equipment immediately and settle outstanding fees.
15. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including courier delays, strikes, natural events, government restrictions, or similar. Where such events occur, we will act reasonably to reduce disruption, but performance may be delayed.
16. Keeping Things Green
16.1 Renting with us supports the circular economy, reusing quality gear to cut waste.
16.2 Our packaging is reused, high-standard, and secure, saving the planet and costs.
